Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Release Date Pushed Back?

While details are, at this time, scarce, Eurogamer.net is reporting that Ubisoft has announced a delay in the release of "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory". The game was expected to be released this November, however, according to Eurogamer, Ubisoft has delayed the release until March 2005 on all formats "in order to maximize the marketing impact". We'll keep you up to date as more information comes in.

Gamespot is now reporting the same delay. However, according to Gamespot, Ubisoft is delaying the game on the Xbox, to enable "players on Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and PC to discover [the game] at the same time." Hmm...this hasn't stopped Ubisoft before.

Ubisoft's official Chaos Theory site still lists the game with a "2004" release. I think it's clear that the nice people at Ubi have yet to update the site to reflect the new release date.
