According to
many sources, Manfred Gerdes, SCEE German Managing Director, let slip that the price of the PSP would be 33,000 Yen, or basically, $300 for us here in the states. That seems in line with the $299 price that several game retailers have used for pre-orders. Sony has since tried to squelch said price revelation by stating that there is no MSRP for Europe or the US. Sony also (intentionally) revealed that the PSP hardware is finished. The PSP is due out in Spring of 2005 here in the states. Hopefully, they'll lower the price if they want to compete with the
Nintendo DS.
