The New York Times yesterday published an interesting article
(free sub. req.) regarding the growing importance of voice acting in video games. What was once an afterthought is now a main component in most games. In addition, much Hollywood talent has been tapped for voice acting including: Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, Peter Fonda, Michelle Rodriguez, Laurence Fishburne, Ray Liotta and Ice-T. The $23-30 billion/year industry sure is growing up.
