are today reporting a partnership between Nvidia and Sony, which will allow the two companies to co-develop a new graphics processor for use in Sony's next console, the PS3. Nvidia CEO and president Jen-Hsun Huang claims this collaborative relationship has been going on "over the past two years", as Nvidia has worked closely with Sony during the PS3 development. Huang went on to say, "In parallel, we have been designing our next-generation GeForce GPU. The combination of the revolutionary Cell processor and Nvidia?s graphics technologies will enable the creation of breathtaking imagery that will surprise and captivate consumers."
