Most of us have known for quite some time about EA's upcoming The Godfather
title, based on both Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 movie and the original novel by Mario Puzo. Thanks to the eye sore that was Spike TV's Video Game Awards last night, and their debut of the The Godfather
teaser/trailer, Reuters (read "mainstream media") is also now in the know
. Why is this news? Well, it's news because the Reuters article
does provide some new and interesting details about the game, but it's also news because games that catch the attention of the mainstream media this early in their production, are usually an overwhelming sales success...even if the games, themselves, aren't that great.
