Ubisoft, EA, Infogrames, Vivendi and the French Gov't

No, this isn't the name of a fairy tale, this is the current craziness that is occuring ever since EA annouced it would buy a 20% stake in French publisher, Ubisoft. The big news after that announcement was that the French Government might help Ubi defend itself against a hostile takeover by EA. Now, we're hearing rumors that both Infogrames and Vivendi are in talks with Ubisoft regarding a possible 'white knight' purchase. Both Infogrames and Vivendi are French companies and neither want to see Ubisoft become an American company. We'll keep you up-to-date with any further developments.
