Last week I spotted a little rumor on
the black & white flag suggesting Blizzard's
World of Warcraft had been pulled from store shelves as the game had "oversold" and Blizzard didn't have the server power necessary to maintain all the players. While I can't confirm the actual "pulling" of this product from shelves, a quick internet search does suggest the game is backordered on many gaming sites. Today, after a miserable
World of Warcraft weekend, where 20 of the 88 WoW servers were down,
Gamespot has put together an interesting article which looks further into Blizzard's WoW problems, and the inevitable ensuing backlash.
