, Nokia is denying that it is shutting down its N-Gage product line. The rumor began when tech site, The Inquirer
, reported that Nokia is shutting down an N-Gage R&D facility in Germany. To boot, as we reported
, the UK's ChartTrack delisted the N-Gage from its sales charts saying, "Sales of the machine and its software have failed to make any impact on the market at all." Nonetheless, Nokia claims it is "completely committed" to the N-Gage. It would make sense if Nokia would ditch the N-Gage but still offer the N-Gage QD (the 2nd generation which was rushed to market due to the atrocious design and universally bad feedback of the original). The N-Gage is a poorly designed plastic albatross hanging around the neck of the cell phone maker and the sooner Nokia realizes this the better for us all.
