Is there a black spot on your carpet? Did you experience a warming sensation when moving your Xbox? Well, you're no longer crazy. MS has recalled 14.1 million Xbox power cords after a defect gave some users minor burns and scorched carpets. The recall covers, "all Xboxes made for continental Europe before Jan. 13, 2004, and the rest of the world before Oct. 23, 2003." If your Xbox falls into that time period you can request a new power cord by going to
xbox.com or by calling the toll-free number for your country (look at your user manual). The cord will take 2-4 weeks to get to you so be careful and unplug your Xbox when you're not playing it.
