Yesterday, Ali and I picked up Brothers in Arms
for the Xbox. The game has received wonderful intitial reviews from various gaming sites and as of yet, we have to reserve judgement. Both Ali and I feel it is a boring game thus far, but to be fair, we do have to play it more. From a gameplay standpoint, it is a very solid, well made, and innovative squad-based FPS. At any time you can zoom out to a sort of "battlefield" view and switch between targets, friendlies, and objectives so that you can "plan" your attack.

But don't think of it as "planning" in the mode of a Rainbow Six, think of more as on-the-fly planning. The problem is the game drags and we're not very far into it. Keep in mind, this is coming from people who loved Prisoner of War, probably one of the slowest moving games of all time. We do have hope that all of this is leading up to something big. We'll continue to play this game for the next week or two as we write a walkthrough for it.
