Apes Run the LA Marathon

As if running a marathon isn't scary enough, Nintendo decided to promote its upcoming Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (to be released on March 14) by entering 50 costumed apes into last Sunday's Los Angeles Marathon. According to Nintendo, "the apes wanted to be in their tip top shape when the game launches". I just hope Nintendo paid the people in the costumes well, as I can't imagine a) running a marathon nor b) doing it in a full costume and mask with a bongo controller hanging from my neck.
