The Nintendo DS launched in the UK over the weekend selling 87,000 units in two days making it the best 2-day launch of any platform ever (in the UK). The previous record was held by the the GameCube at 69,000 units with the GBA's 2-day launch at 67,000. The DS launched with 16 titles, 12 of which made it into the Top 40. The most popular games were
Super Mario 64 DS,
Wario Ware Touched!, and
Rayman DS. Hopefully, this will mean good things for the DS. I'm still waiting for
Metroid Prime: Hunters in August! For more information about the UK launch,

best Australian launch ever.
