It's a UK handheld kind of day. Earlier I told you the Nintendo DS had the best launch of any platform ever. Now, many sources, including Reuters
have confirmed that the UK PSP launch has been delayed at least a few months. Sony was originally hoping for a late March release but claims that US demand for the March 24 US launch has forced Sony to reallocate European systems to the US. In other words, Sony is claiming that they can't keep up with the pre-demand. I think it has more to do with manufacturing problems, like the PS2 problems pre-christmas
. Anyway, with the huge success of the Nintendo DS, I don't blame Sony for putting a little distance between the PSP and the DS in the UK, even if they are blaming it on "shortages".
