Both Microsoft and Nintendo of America are headquartered in Redmond, WA, just outside of Seattle. In fact, their campuses are adjacent to one another. And that was the problem when MS proposed a 2.2 million square feet addition to their campus, infringing on Nintendo's space. To counter the move, Nintendo asked for a 550,000 square feet addition. MS and Nintendo have amicably resolved the situation with MS giving up about 250,000 square feet of their proposal so that Nintendo can have what it wants. To put things into perspective, MS employs about 28,000 workers in the Seattle area while Nintendo employs about 1,000. For more info about these good neighbors and a map of the area, check out
