Get your hundreds of hard-earned dollars ready, because tonight at midnight you can be amongst the first in North America to get your hands on Sony's new handheld, the PSP (
Playstation Portable). Problem is, you might be hard pressed to find the PSP at the $250 price as most retailers are forcing bundled games upon the masses with Gamestop's prices ranging from $380-$520, EB's from $400-$430, and Wal-Mart's $360-$500. Best Buy looks like a good bet if you only want the $250 PSP but they're evil, so you have to contend with that.

So, shoppers, check around on prices and bundles, see what stores are opening early or at midnight (Gamestops in the Portland, OR area are opening at midnight for pre-orders only with several other retailers opening at 8am tomorrow). In my opinion this is not the way to launch a new product. Sony is really limiting its audience with such a high price and retailers are screwing their customers with forced bundles.
