Nintendo Pres. Satoru Iwata and the trade paper Nikkei Business
are at it again in regards to info on Nintendo's next-gen console, Revolution. According to many sources
Iwata reiterated that the console will feature wireless LAN capabilities and will keep development costs low, but shied away from mentioning anything about rumors of the console's controller, purported to have no buttons or control sticks but instead be a programmable touch screen
. Iwata's reasoning, "Controllers for current consoles have more than doubled [in complexity] from older consoles. They may satisfy the hardcore gamers, but they've become too difficult for more casual gamers." Very interesting. Stay tuned for more info as E3 approaches.
