A lot has been made over the last few years regarding the sale of "M-rated" video games to minors. From various State bills to radical lawyers it seems everybody has an opinion (or in some cases, a vested interest) on the matter. Best Buy is taking a step in the right direction by making cashiers ID anybody who appears under 21 buying an M-rated game. Still, I don't like the fact that they leave it up to the individual employee and the employee is punished if he sells a game to a minor. Best Buy is also starting a secret shopper program to see how well the policy is working. I don't know what the solution is, but I know that bills banning the sale of games are bad. Best Buy seems to at least want to try and help the situation, but only because a major Catholic investment firm pushed them.
