Nintendo yesterday released financial results for the April-June quarter and they aren't pretty. Profits are down 78.5% but the forecast of 3.1% growth for the year still held. Sales of the Gamecube were down 14% and are expected to fall 34% over the coming year. The Gamecube isn't really that relevant anymore, until
Zelda: Twilight Princess comes out later this year, as Nintendo makes most of their money on sales of GBA and Nintendo DS software; games like
Pokemon. The Nintendo DS has held its own against the PSP and retains a 94% market share of handheld consoles.
