Playstation 3 Confirmed for 2006

On Friday, I wrote a story about PS3 rumors, one of which is that the PS3 may debut in 2007, pending a bad launch of the Xbox 360. Today, due to Lunabean's magnificent power (or not), Sony has a nice new webpage on their UK site stating that the PS3 will indeed be released in 2006. Granted, that is the UK site, which doesn't technically mean that it will also launch in the US in that timeframe, but I'd bet my Xbox 360 that it will. So, rumor squashed. The PS3 will debut in 2006.
