The Washington Post today has
an article detailing the development of Bethesda's
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The article is as much about the dark dungeon that is the basement production area as it is about the game itself, and what it means to the gaming industry. Bethesda is a rarity in that they are still a small privately held company. However, with the success of their
Elder Scrolls series, and the fact that RPGs are the fastest growing game genre, well, we'll see how long that lasts. Anyway, it's a good article to read:
