According to
this article from the Seattle Times, Microsoft is considering opening a retail store in Times Square in New York City. The store would help raise the profile of the launch of the Xbox 360 and provide MS a permanent place to promote their retail products and demonstrate their software applications. The only surprise is that it took them so long to do this. Apple has many outlets across the US and Sony has a store in NYC. Granted, MS doesn't have as many retail products as those companies, but the times they are a changin'. If anything comes of this, we'll let you know.
