Throughout the entire build up to the launch of the Xbox 360 Microsoft had promised that there would be a simultaneous world-wide launch. Granted, something that is hard to pull off, but hey, they're Microsoft. Now it appears, as reported
at Gamespot, that Robbie Bach has announced that the US will get the Xbox 360 first (phew!) with Europe and Japan following seven to ten days later. This is still a very narrow window and MS can get away with saying it launched world-wide in the same Holiday season, but still, it would have been fun to know that my counterparts in Japan and Europe would be standing in line along with me waiting for the green halo of light to become part of the family. The reason, "just to give us a chance to manage the logistics." We'll see how well they do in just a few months.
