Ubi CEO Says it Couldn't Fend Off EA

Gamespot is today reporting on an article in the French newspaper, "Les Echos," in which Ubi CEO, Yves Guillemot, says that his company would be powerless if Electronic Arts (EA) initiated a hostile takeover. Ubi has been in EA's sights for some time as we reported in February. Ubi is not necessarily worried about a takeover due to the fact it is one of the premier video game publishers and a premium price would have to be paid. Ubisoft is best known for its Tom Clancy and Prince of Persia games. Ubi's stock price spiked yesterday on these rumors.
