Nintendo Licenses Handwriting Recognition Software

Nintendo recently announced that it has licensed handwriting input and recognition software, called Decuma, from Zi Corporation, a leading provider of such software for PDA's and Smart Phones. The software, which will be used on the Nintendo DS will allow users to write on the touch screen in a natural way and have their strokes be interpreted as letters, numbers, etc. With the soon to be released Nintendo Wi-Fi network all I can think of is how my DS is going to turn into my favorite form of communication. And, with Blackberry's potential blackout, wouldn't it be funny to see news people and beltway types all communicating via a DS? Or, maybe just playing Nintendogs.
