A few days ago, the recent Illinois law banning the sale of violent video games to youths
was declared unconstitutional. Yesterday, the
Herald and Review, out of Decatur, Illinois, printed a wonderful Op-Ed piece titled, "
Don't waste money appealing video game law". The piece details how the Governor and state legislators knew this bill would be deemed unconstitutional, but went ahead and voted for it anyway for fear of political repercussions, "So, thanks to the governor and a bunch of spineless legislators, the state has been spending tax dollars defending a hopeless case in court."
