The Sydney Morning Herald has an
interesting article detailing Peter Jackson's views on the convergence of video games and cinema. Jackson, always the visionary, relates how he was able to satisfy a desire to have Kong live at the end of the movie by integrating it as an unlockable in
Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (
LB Strategy Guide). He goes on to say, "I think the way the technology is converging, we're getting to a point where games and movies will overlap...Video games will become more like a film experience, where the characters are better drawn, the events are more compelling and the experience is almost interactive." All I have to say is, "Go Peter Jackson!"
