The Anchorage Daily News is reporting the story of five Xbox 360 "scalpers" (ages 14 - 24), who purchased five consoles during last Sunday's Best Buy 360 blitz, then offered two of the consoles to those still in line for $600 each. When no one took them up on their deal, they went to a nearby McDonald's to eat and figure out a new plan, leaving the 14 year old in the car to guard the consoles. Little did they know, they were followed by two men who were standing in that Best Buy line, and who also happened to have a gun. The men stole four of the consoles (the 14 year old hid the fifth), and have yet to be caught. Wow. Kind of makes the
story of the guy who cut in line at a Best Buy seem trivial.
