on 20 years of Zelda
and 20 reasons why we still love the series. I have to say that the most poignant aspect of Zelda
games is that they created Hyrule, with all of its magic, lore, and history. That deep rooted narrative allows for Zelda
references to be tossed around and understood by many of our generation (late 20's, early 30's). Allison and I often reference the Zelda
universe: we often refer to large rocks on the side of highways are Gorons; when we're pooped out after a workout we need a Fairy Fountain; and we often refer to any nuts on salads as Deku Nuts. So, we have problems, whatever.
