The San Jose Mercury News has a
Pre-keynote speech interview with Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata. In the interview, Iwata confirms that the Revolution (or
whatever it'll be called) will debut this year, that he knows where MS went wrong with the X360 launch, and that he wants to get 80 - 90% of Nintendo gamers online. That online percentage is a tall order considering that Xbox currently has a 10% online rate. This focus on online gaming is in stark contrast to what Iwata said
in July of '04, "that customers do not want online games."

Much has changed since then, including the launch of the Nintendo Wi-Fi service which recently got it's 1 millionth player. I guess if you see online DS games selling like crazy, you would have a shift in philosophy. If anything comes out at Iwata's Games Developer's Conference (GDC) keynote speech, we'll let you know.
