As we reported last year, Rockstar had announced a new Grand Theft Auto title for the PSP was to launch in 2006. While it was presumed by many the game would be based in the world of Vice City, there was never any sort of confirmation from Rockstar that this was the case. While we are still without Rockstar confirmation, we do have something almost as good, and that's confirmation from the US Patent and Trademark Office, where Rockstar has applied for three separate trademarks for the phrase "Vice City Stories". One trademark is for the VCS software (the actual game, one is for "VCS" merchandise (primarily clothing), and one is for a VCS motion picture or television show. Interesting, no?
