Famitsu, the venerable Japanese gaming magazine, released the results of a poll in its latest issue which declares that the Nintendo Wii will firmly drub the PS3 in Japan. 73% of respondents said that the Wii will win the hardware war. Nearly 70% said they are most anticipating the Wii, with about 20% voting for the PS3. The main reason given for the lack of interest in the PS3 is, of course, the price, with 88% saying it's priced too high. Also interesting is that the most anticipated game of year is The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. If Japan is snubbing the PS3, Sony is in more trouble than I thought. They are going to have to reduce the price prior to launch.
