Satoru Iwata, speaking to Japanese business newspaper, Nikkei Business Tech On!, has revealed some more tidbits regarding how the Wii and the DS will interact. We learned from E3 that Nintendo have plans to download material to the Wii while you're sleeping. Now, we've learned that the content that is downloaded can then be placed onto your DS. This is very similar to the DS Download stations that you've probably encountered if you've been to a gaming store recently. At this point, it seems that the downloads will be primarily promotional material. However, the door is wide open to make the Wii into a download hub, complete with games, movies, and music (if only Nintendo and Apple would team up). Iwata also talks about the Wii's posisition as a challenger (underdog) and some cheap Virtual Console games.
