ArsTechnica has crunched the numbers and has found that, since the Xbox 360 release, Microsoft has averaged 246,000 X360 console sales per month. During that same period, Sony has seen 473,000 PS2 console sales per month.
What do these numbers mean? Not a whole heck of a lot, as the Xbox 360 is not in direct competition with the PS2, which carries a significantly lower price tag and offers a six year old library of video games. We'll see what the real numbers are when the PS3 and Wii launch this fall.
