Nintendo has confirmed there is truth behind the nasty little rumor which emerged last week stating a truckload of Nintendo DSes had been hijacked in Hong Kong. While Nintendo is refusing to disclose the number of DSes stolen (rumor has it at about $2 million worth), the company has issued the following statement to
GamesIndustry.biz: "A number of White DS Lite made for the UK market were stolen in Hong Kong. Nintendo is making every effort to ensure that there is enough product available in the UK to meet market demand at launch."
The DS Lite launches in the UK on Friday.
