Wii to support microtransactions

Reggie Fils-Aime, president and COO of Nintendo of America, has revealed in an interview with Game Informer Magazine that the soon-to-be released Nintendo Wii console will have the ability to support payments for various publisher downloads. While no one is expecting the console's WiiConnect24 service to have anywhere near the capabilities of Xbox Live, this is certainly good news for those (like me) who have become addicted to the Xbox Live Marketplace.
