Sierra Entertainment has announced that its award-winning paranormal shooter F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) will be a launch title for the Sony PS3 and will be made available to PS3 gamers on November 17th. The game will be ported from its PC version by Day 1 Studios, which is the company also in charge of porting the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Gamespot is reporting that the PS3 version of F.E.A.R. will have exclusive content, although no details regarding the specifics of said content were provided.

For the record, F.E.A.R. is the first announced launch title for the PS3. While I'm quite excited for the game, I don't know what it means, if anything, that the first title is a port of a game that launched a year ago. Ah well.
