Living in Portland, OR, which is in the Willamette Valley, it cracked me up a few months ago when the Nintendo Wii name was revealed and it was discovered that wii.com was owned by Willamette Industries Inc., a paper and building materials company owned by Weyerhauser. At the time, Nintendo claimed that they didn't care about the domain and were not going to pursue it. Well, as pointed out by cubed3, Nintendo has indeed gained the rights to wii.com. A quick look at the whois database confirms it. When will we see wii.com go live? My guess is soon, when they announce the price.
