Some new Wii info has surfaced. First, after yesterday's announcement by Sony
that only seven PS3s will be available on launch day, NIntendo has announced that they are still on track to ship 6 million Wiis by March 31st, 2007. This is the same number that Sony claims they'll be able to ship in the same amount of time. However, A) Nintendo will actually be able to do it, and B) Nintendo will have more ready for their launch date, which is still TBA.
In other Wii news, it looks like the sensor bar, which sits atop your TV, will be about half the size as originally planned; there may be no DVD playback; there is no rechargable option for the sensor remote, meaning you are stuck with 2 AA batteries; the SD card will be able to save games and virtual console games but will have digital rights management which won't allow you to play the virtual console games on other Wiis; and finally 'Super Paper Mario' will no longer be a GameCube game and will instead be available for the Wii.
