iTunes launches iPod Games

I have a horrible singing voice. So, when Jer asked me what song I was singing this morning, and, after he still didn't recognize it after I told him the name (Earth Wind and Fire's "September"), I opted to sample it from iTunes for him. However, when I tried to log into the iTunes store, I was stopped by Apple's "we're currently updating the store" message. At that point I knew Apple was loading up its store with downloadable movies.

After some time (and after subjecting poor Jer to my voice over and over and over again), iTunes came to life, complete with movies and...what's this...games? That's right. Buried in its movie download area are iPod Games: Pac-Man, Tetris, Zuma, Bejeweled, Majong, Texas Hold 'Em, Cubis 2, Vortex, and Mini-Golf. The games are $4.99 each, or you can buy all nine for $44.91.

While i do find the price a bit obnoxious, I love this idea. Perfect for travel.

Apple iTunes

And, yes, Jer recognized the song once he heard it on iTunes immediately.
