Nintendo today have revealed a release date and price for the European launch of the Wii. Drum roll please...Dec. 8 at a cost of GBP 179 and EUR 249. They also announced the Australian info: $399 (Australian Dollars) on Dec. 7. The overseas launches will include Wii Sports, will launch with about 15-20 games at a price between 35 and 40 pounds (50 to 60 Euros), and include one remote and nunchuck style controller. It was also revealed via Wired News that 1st party Wii games will not be region-specific; no PAL and NTSC crap to worry about. Third party games will still have to work that out, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
