Wired Magazine's Clive Thompson has gotten his paws on Rockstar's upcoming title "Bully" for the PS2. The resulting review has managed to get me legitimately psyched for the prep school romper.
According to Thompson Rockstar has another hit on its hands, despite its lack of blood and violence. How could that be, you ask? Because many of the elements that made "GTA" "GTA" are present in "Bully". The game allows you to explore the environment freely, corruption remains a central theme, comments remain both disturbing and funny, and homage is appropriately paid. This time around it's paid to "1980s flicks that originally explored high-school as a metaphor for society -- like 'Heathers' or 'The Breakfast Club'." Ah, Mr. Thompson, you had me at "Heathers".
