The month before the launch of a console (much less two!) is always fun. The main stream media begins to pay attention and proceeds to write candy-coated puff pieces quoting some "gaming analyst" who probably does work for the Today Show.

With that in mind, here is such a story by ABC News. The author, Jon Silverstein, goes through the merits of each of the three consoles and ends with a prediction by Tom Byron, editor in chief of Official PlayStation, that the PS3 will win the console war. I wonder why the editor in chief of Official PlayStation magazine would say that? Oh, journalism, where art thou?
