Those of you who have been trying to log onto our catalog of PDF walkthroughs and strategy guides (available at LunabeanGuides.com
), may have had some difficulties over the past few weeks.
See, the server where LunabeanGuides.com
was being hosted was becoming more and more unstable. First it was going down for ten minutes a day, then a half hour. Last week it was shutting down for a couple of hours at a time. We asked to be moved to a new server. We were told that would happen ASAP. Unfortunately, ASAP was not soon enough.

Yesterday, the site was down when we woke up in the morning. A call to OLM
informed us that the admins had FINALLY found the problem and they were uploading a script to the server to fix it. ETA was 30 - 45 minutes. Two hours later, we still had nothing. This time we were told there was no ETA, but they were working on it. At this point we had to get ready to go out, as we had tickets to see Al Gore at the Rose Garden Arena.
When we got back from the event we found the site was still down. A midnight call to our host resulted in shocking news. "It seems a script has malfunctioned and has erased everything on the server," we were told. "The admins are working on getting the data back, but it doesn't look good." After the head spinning stopped we remembered the backup that we pay for...the one that is backed up every week. We called back and asked about it. "No, that was deleted, too".
Lovely. And we were soooo close to being moved from the server, too. Anyway, we do have our own backup of the site, but it's not pretty, so it's going to take a few days to get LunabeanGuides
clicking around again. In the meantime, if you are a LunaPass subscriber and need a guide, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide your username then provide us with the name of the guide you'd like to have e-mailed to you. We will e-mail it ASAP. We apologize for the inconvenience. I guess Al Gore would call it "An Inconvenient Truth". Oy.
