While the quality of the video is pretty poor, it is fascinating to get a look at the psyche of Jack Thompson.

A quick history of what is going on in the video: Jack Thompson, a highly controversial lawyer who seems to believe video games are the source of all evil, lost his most recent attempt at crazy when a judge denied Thompson's motion to ban Take-Two's T-rated 'Bully'. This made Thompson angry and he circulated a letter comparing the judge to the UN and the game to Iran (just a sample, as there is so much more). This caused Take-Two's lawyers to ask that Thompson be held in contempt of court. Below, you have the hearing (fast forward through the first four minutes to get to it).






In case you can't follow it (or don't want to), Thompson acts like a know it all brat and continues to be disrespectful of the judge. The judge recuses himself from the case, and warns Thompson that the next judge may not be so forgiving.

While I've never been a fan of Jack Thompson, this video really shows that he's not right in the head. He is so certain he is right, that anyone who disagrees with him is evil and not worthy of respect. At what point will this man, who has lost every single case he's brought before a judge regarding video games, understand that he is wrong? And, at what point will the Florida Bar Association revoke this man's license to practice law? Seriously, it would be funny if it weren't so tragic.
