Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime, sat down for a vinterview
(a virtual interview...I just coined that...cha ching!) with Reuters' Second Life bureau chief, Adam Reuters, and discussed the Wii in relation to 'Second Life'. The inhabitants of the popular virtual world have a lot in common with the audience of the Wii. They both attempt to draw in non-gamers and appeal to women and men equally.
Reggie talks about the possibility of Miis (the Wii's avatar system) appearing in 'Second Life' and plans for a MMO for the Wii itself. Nintendo does have a successful history in the genre with 'Animal Crossing'. I can see it now...Miis gathered in a huge Nintendo world...visiting Mario Town, Zelda Crossing, and Metroid Alley. I'd spend all of my time there.
