It really comes as no surprise, but it's now official: the shortages of Wiis and PS3s will linger into 2007. The Wii shortages should ease sometime around March with the PS3 shortages finally disappearing around June. This is due to the fact that the PS3 has yet to launch in Europe (March '07 is the target date) which will cause another supply strain.

Perhaps, though, the PS3 shortages will end sooner as there are now reports of people wanting to trade their PS3s for Wiis.
