According to various sources, including Reuters, Gamestop today announced that it enjoyed record holiday sales. "For the nine weeks ended Dec. 30, total sales rose 29 percent to $1.73 billion," despite the fact that the Wii and PS3 were in tight supply.

The top five games at GameStop for that 9 week period were: (1) "Gears of War" - Microsoft, (2) "Final Fantasy XII" - SquareEnix, (3) Zelda: Twilight Princess" - Nintendo, (4) "Guitar Hero II" - Activision, and (5) "WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2007" - THQ. Note that EA didn't have a top five game.
