Peter Dille, Sony Computer Entertainment America's Senior Vice President of Marketing, announced yesterday at the
Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, that Sony has accomplished its goal of shipping one million PS3s to North America.
While I have no intentions of being a Cassandra here, I do think it's important to note that one million is the number
shipped and not sold. Normally, I wouldn't point out this distinction. However, since I saw four PS3s sitting at my local Circuit City yesterday, while there were no Wiis in sight, I do think it's an important note. It's also interesting that there was no mention of a
global PS3 shipment.
