Here's an odd little story from our friends at
GamePolitics.com. Really, you should just go there, read it,
and see if you can make sense of it, because I can't really wrap my brain around it.
From what I can grasp, a 20 year old MMO gamer up and left his home more than a week ago. His parents, worried about his whereabouts, enlisted Jack Thompson for help (the first WTF). The story reaches GamePolitics, then, subsequently, reaches Sony Online Entertainment. Together, they figure out where the kid is (in Illinois, with a girl he met playing "Lineage II") and report back to the parents (the second WTF...granted, I know it's the "right" thing to do, but doesn't this 20 year old have privacy rights, and a right to go where he wants?). Finally, Jack Thompson claims credit for finding the kid, and asks GamePolitics to tell their, "sycophantic, panting audience" as much. WTF, yo?
Read it for yourself.

I saw this quote on a wired blog and thought you might like it:
"When they came for the video gamers, I didn't say anything, because I didn't play video games. When they came for the pornographers, I didn't say anything, because I didn't watch porn. When they came for me, there was no one left to say anything."
