Video games help create killers

It always makes me angry when newspaper columnists, writing in response to their state's unconstitutional video game bill, base their arguments on what they want to believe instead of what is true.


In this case, it's Tim Winter, of the Indianapolis Star, who in his column Retailers keep selling to kids, so we need video-game law, starts off with the classic line, "It is no exaggeration to say that video games can help create killers."

After that, the column devolves into misleading statement after statement, essentially saying that there is conclusive proof that violent games turn kids into murderers and that a 10-year old can walk into any store and buy an AO (adult only) game. Wow. Just wow.
